I am a sushi snob and I've tried every sushi restaurant within 20 miles and this is by far the best. I don't go anywhere else now that I've found the best sushi and the best service. It is worth the extra drive but if you live close they deliver, too! FABULOUS!!!

STOP! Read no further. Heed advice: DO NOT GO HERE. The food is outrageously priced and NOT worth the money. The customer service, staff, is argumentative and unreasonable. You'll regret any interaction with Pam. Move along. Go to ANY other restaurant in the area. You've been warned. Bad food served by bad people. NO THANKS!

My family and i love this restaurant. Their curry is absolutely delicious! Great price for Thai food. You get a big serving size too. Must visit if you are in the area or looking for a nice place to go to. You won't be disappointed!

Love the sushi it is all fish and just a little rice enough to hold the rolls together! Super fresh every time! Servers are friendly and they remember what you like to drink and eat too

We were looking for takeout for our last night in Madeira Beach and we asked s local and they recommended this place. I ordered the spicy tuna bowl, red hot chili roll and my husband ordered the volcano roll. We ordered it togo and our wait was about 45 minutes on a Friday night :/ It was very yummy though!

I can't compliment Thai Star enough! We have been going for about 8 months now after figuring out it was a different restaurant than was there before and we LITERALLY go at least twice a week. We would drive 10 miles to come here that often but luckily it is right across the street from us which has just been like a gift from above ;) We have tried just about everything at this point and are blown away by the freshness of the sushi and everything else we've tried. The yellow curry sauce is out of this world. My new favorite addiction is the Tom Kai Gai which just hits the spot every time! The udon soup is killer too! I mean, seriously, it's ALL great! Last but most certainly not least, the people! Diana the owner, (princess Diana) has become one of our favorite people and Cindy and Shawn are awesome too! Love the food, love the people...you must try this out, you will NOT be disappointed!

Great service and authentic Thai food plus sushi. Tonight had Yakisoba with beef and Tom Kha Gai. They made a special dish of deep fried Tofu with Gyoza Sauce that was very tasty. All was yummy. We've been eating here since they opened last year and love the food and atmosphere.

Came into a casual restaurant. Greeted by a very nice waitress that say is right away. The food was incredible. The spicy tuna bowl is to kill for and even the ginger salad was excellent. Other with is are some of the Thai food and they loved it too. I will be back for sure.

The sushi is excellent!! fresh and very tasty. The best roll is the lobster roll or rock n roll served with a full lobster and very reasonably priced. Ginger salad is great and so is the pa thai. The severs are right on top of things and you don't have to wait forever like in other places to get your food.

One word-- AMAZING! Every thing was fresh and delicious. Ordered a chirasi and salmon bowl that was filled with fresh fishes to the brink. Entrees was accompanied with ginger salads. Recommend the big daddy roll and sugar mama.

Thai Star is bar far one of the best Sushi & Thai spots around. I've eaten at just about everyone in St Pete and they are at the top of the class! The seared salmon roll is amazing the tuna is always top notch as well in the tuna bowl as well. Service is always amazing and the owner is always there! Love this place eat there 2 times a week at least!

The restaurant is so adorable inside. Staff is friendly. She went on a delivery and let us know so we did not leave while she was gone. The seaweed salad was good; the ginger salad too. Got a few rolls. The Lov Roll or something, it was good. Substituted rice paper with seaweed and that was a little hard to chew. First roll was a little bland-fishy but it was ok. The sweet chili sauce was unique. My husb got a roll that was deep fried, the muscle man maybe? No good. Tasted the oil heavy. Placed higher expectations on this place. Apparently the fried rice is all the rave. That will be a future try if we return.

I'm hoping this place can make it in what has historically been a bad location, for some odd reason. I decided to try some of my standard favorites-chicken pad Thai, a Happy Day cucumber wrap filled with tuna, salmon, yellowtail and white tuna and misago with quail egg. What a pleasant surprise! The sushi was excellent, I loved the pad thai and the service was great. I hope this place makes it, because it is really good.
